19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his first trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a difficult season, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in especial - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-time coach Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and his other coach, he has consistently advanced in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought three-set win over opponent Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial trophy following the Italian tournament and first on a hard surface from that period of that year.
Success also signifies he has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my children simultaneously, so to get a trophy is particularly special," stated ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, featuring in that event in the past months.
The player's retrieving approach and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had caused observers to wonder if his skill to compete at the highest level was over.
However the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and play assertively, reinforced by an improved service.
He fought back from a break down in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, taking four of the concluding five points to take the lead.
Both players traded breaks in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his initial professional victory, seized the initiative to force a decider.
He saved 4 early-game chances in a tight third set before the champion broke to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the title with a point at the net, with the Frenchman failing to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
